the previous owner of my WRB Wagon, obviously drank coffee, tea or soda, or at least had them in the car because the pass. side seat has noticeable stains in the seat cushion.

I have tried all the usual upholstery/carpet cleaners & none are working...

Anyone found a product they LOVE to clean the seats?

thanks!

Rob

Borrow someone's Bissell Clean Machine, I have gotten undercoating out of upolstery in my trunk and dried red wine out of white carpetting with it.

Otherwise Electrolux has a cleaning line that is equally amazing.

Did you try Tuff Stuff? I haven't seen a stain that that stuff won't remove.

Tuff Stuff or borrow a steam cleaner ftw!

Or maybe http://www.303products.com/shop303/index.cfm?fuseaction=category.display&category_ID=9

Not sure what the difference is between the two. I have the 303 Cleaner & Spot Remover and it works great for taking out stains/spots.
I generally use a terry cloth, but I also use a toothbrush for the grooves and pits in the seat fabric.

+1 for this product!!! My interior looks new everytime I use the STP Tuff Stuff foam cleanr on my parchment colored seats, I try to completely clean my seats with this stuff 2-3 times a year, doing about 2 passes.

Keeping these seats clean is a piece of cake with this product, I simply use that with a clean microfiber towel and scrub away.

I use the 303 carpet/fabric cleaner.

I use the same thing I use on my homes carpets as recommended by a professional upholstery carpet guy. I don't know what the solution amounts would be if used in a smaller machine, use a bit of math and good judgement. It is safer then anything else and it does not hurt any fabric, not even wool... anyway soooo...

In my Bissal machine 1 cup ammonia to one and a half to two gallons hot water, then rinse with 1 cup white vinegar to two gallons water.

Takes out everything! Oh and that goes for very dirty house carpets. It works! Everything looks new. The same friend who let me in on that secret, recommends against using the pre mixed stuff particularly if it's real dirty or stained. It tends to cause the fabrics to loose repelency and they will dirty even easier. Also causes a spreading out of the stains, which is what causes the stain to look like its fading. In essence, its spreading out wider and some is being removed. I have used this solution for Long Time...Works like a charm.

Yes,

We would recommend the upolstery cleaner and then the fabric protectant.

That is what we have done with our 04 wagon. :)

Did not change the color and works very well.

That's why we carry 303 products. :)

I use krud kutter. It doesn't hurt the fabric and works wonders on stains.

does the 303 work on the infamous water stains? my seats are in pretty good condition EXCEPT the damn water stains on the outer edges of both seats :(

It should... Depending on how long they have been sitting, the fabric cleaner may need to be applied a second time and worked in to completely remove the stain.

Bryan- do you guys carry it, don't see it on your site

TIA

Bigsky,

Yes we do have it, it is the same product as the Aerospace cleaner... Infact Aerspace cleaner will be phased out and the Fabric cleaner will take it's place...

well finally got around to doing this (bought the 303 cleaner and fabric protectant)

I warmed up some distilled water and mixed in the cleaner to ~ 10:1 water to cleaner ratio, I used a microfiber cloth to apply- I had to use a new thing of water/cleaner for the next seat as the water got pretty dirty. The stuff works :) It took out the water spots that I was most concerned w/. After everything dried, I applied the protectant over it- which should prolong the clean look. This stuff (protectant) stinks and needs a thorough airing out after using it.

Thanks J&J- I once again have nice looking seats :D

This post has been informative. I havent had to clean my seats but I know what to do in the future thx guys

I havent found anything that works as well as a steam cleaner, because it actually pulls all of the junk out.

is the protectant that pump bottle??
=============
Bryan- yeah they worked great (although they probably will work on a sedan too :D)

^both my cleaner and protectant were in spray bottles

do you guys think the 303 fabric cleaner would take water stains out of my seats?

black wrx seats stained from the rain that drips off of the frameless window sills. i noticed the bottle mentions oil, coffee, and various other stains, but not water stains.

thanks in advance for the help. sedan people get love too right? =P

i just used a regular fabric cleaner, i think it might have been from canadian tire or something, worked very well, i had fluff in my passengers seat from trying to eat an drive at the same time. you could never tell now.

Yes it will remove them... Stains and how much is removed is dependant on what the stian is and how long it has been there.

303 can be watered down or used full strength depending on the stain. I would then use the fabric protectant to keep new stains from sticking...

water spotting on the edge of the seat was my main motivator in cleaning them- the 303 worked for me :)
