...for a good mechanic.

I think there's something wrong with my carb, or could be something else. Problem: after riding for half an hour or less, the motor dies when I have to change the gear down to first - when approching the traffic lights, etc. Also the idle becomes quite high after... say doing 110Kph (or faster :rolleyes: ) for about half an hour or so, but will probably correct itself after a while?

Tried a few popular workshops but most (except one) are too busy for the next two to three weeks!!!

Suggestions?

Yeh, you just gotta get outta town man.

Went to get the Golf looked at on Monday, VW dealer on Gt. North Road told me to come back in two weeks to even find out what the problem is... went up to Albany, asked them about it, straight onto the ramp, problem fixed in 5 mins, no charge.
