Got the dyno cranked up yesterday, while Nana was on sproglet duty for a couple of hours. First time it has been used for a couple of years, and the Impulse hasn't been started for at least that long. It is getting tired and blowing some smoke, so down on what it used to do. The bike is tired, standard, running open carbs with 118 or 120 mains, and a "CPE" can on stock headers.
One of the things I wanted to check was what difference a Hyperpak ignition made, so a back to back run In a word - sweet FA. Margin of error stuff. I had more variation as the engine temperature changed - I forgot to download the results onto a disk, otherwise I was going to do a pretty piccie as well
