I have in the past made up my own banners for displaying on other peoples websites (I'm not a designer). But looking around I need to move up a gear with my banners and make them animated, you only have to look at the adverts around this webpage to see adverts need to attract attention.
I'm mow very cautious of getting IT/design companies to do work, as I'm not sure if their prices are the best. My reason for saying this is that I asked half a dozen companies to set up a shopping cart website using OSCommerce. Prices ranged from ?00 to over a ?,000! Anyway I took on a guy in Scotland who talked a good fight (the only business who took the time to actually speak to me, to ascertain exactly what I wanted) and said he wouldn't charge the earth, so thought what the heck and told him to sort it. I'm pleased I did, as the final bill was less than ?00! and the result was exactly what I wanted :D So what were the others up to?
Anyway...
I'd like someone to design and supply an animated banner 468 x 60. What sort of price can I expect to pay and who is likely to be the people to approach please?
Thanks in advance :) =============
Try: http://www.20dollarbanners.com/index.php
Only ?0 and everyone says great things about them! =============
Are the 20dollar banners animated, I thought they were static?
We do flash banners if that is something you are looking into? Get in touch via the website with some more details and I'll get back to you asap.

HI
Sift Media (the folk behind this forum) are designing some animated banners & leaderboards for us as part of a project into the effectiveness of banner ads. The project is all bloged by Tom Dunkerly on the Blogs bit of this forum.
Anyway, my point is that the banners/leaderboards are due to start in the begining for February, and from discussions with Tom, they are going to be quite animated and lively. So it may be of interest for you to take a look at these.
As part of the project i will be letting people know about click through rates, responses etc, this will all be on the blog, but feel free to email/PM me if you want any further information either now, or during February.
Kind regards

try minibannerszen.com I've found them great. Responsive, quick and good value for money (IMO). =============

I've noticed this phenomenon. Last week I went looking for a new car and was amazed that prices ranged from around ?000 to over ?0K. Weird because as far as I could see they all had four wheels and an engine. It's a mystery.

lol, I like!! :p:p:p:p =============
brilliant! =============
BTW can we see the website in question?
Surely the web designer can do the animated banners for you for cheap as chips? He would also have the brand guidelines from having designed your website. =============
Try bip banners. We have used them for the past 3/4 months and they are top notch. You ONLY if you are happy with the work they have done. =============
