Hi Everyone,
I hope someone may be able to help me with this.
I have recently told my employer that I will not be renewing my contract when it finishes in May, but I will not be leaving before my contract expires. Yesterday my boss said to me that as I have broken my contract I am not entitled to payed Bank Holidays - and so Bank Holidays will be taken in leu of some overtime.
Is what he is saying correct? Because as I see it I haven't broken my contract, I just won't be taking out another one when it expires.
I would be grateful for any advice on this.
Thanks in advance.

Based on what you have told us you certainly don't appear to have broken your contract, unless there is some specific termination process listed in the contract which you have not complied with. Even in that case I don't see what it would have to do with paid Bank Holidays.
I think you need to make a call to ACAS - http://www.acas.org.uk/ =============
