Our current bank (who we've been with since we started 3 years ago) has done us okay, but now we're clearly in need of a bank who does what it says it can do. Without me going into much detail.. we went on the 'free banking' option and we're really starting to notice the lack of service or competence for that matter.
We are an IT services company so typical cheques and money transfers with internet banking. Increasingly more foreign payments are another need.

Can anybody reccomend a good bank to go with for our business?

by the way, we're at the point where we have to repeatedly ask our bank to do a simple task which even after 5 attempts (by phone) they cannot do.(and each time they say they will).

Whereas individual branches may vary in quality and customer service dependent upon the quality of staff there are few differences between the larger banks and the banking services they provide.

Rather than giving up your present bank you might try another in conjunction and see how it pans out before burning the bridges.

That is what i had in mind. We're going see what Barclays can offer us and will try them out with a few things. If all works out we'll move across to them.
