I hope someone can help me with a problem with Sage Instant accounts. I am using an old copy of Sage for ICB practice etc and no longer have Sage support.
The problem is that I left Sage running and the computer shut down and now Sage will not let me gain access as it says username in use. I have had this problem in the past and I know you have to go in and delete a file by going into C-file on your computer and opening up the Sage files and then deleting the offending file, but I can not remember which one, if anyone knows how to do this then it would be of great help as I'm nearly finished on a level 2 computing on ICB practice exam. I can always uninstall and reload but I would loose all my data. =============
Hiya Feldon
I'm not 100% sure, but for some reason 'QTE' file, or something similar comes to mind ..... not much help I know, but it might jog your memory.
Failing that you could always try http://www.sageforum.co.uk
Good Luck :) =============
Hi
I think you search for Queue.dat and remove a file.

That's it Alison ..... I knew it was something like that!
:D =============
Hi
I think you search for Queue.dat and remove a file.
Alison
Yep it usually lives in the ACCDATA folder (I think) and you open it with notepad, delete everything in there, save it, and that should clear the login queue. :) =============
Thanks to both of you, I have managed to delete the offending file, it is Queue.dat file, and can now access the program again.
many thanks

Sorry Jenni, I was posting my response at the same time, but yes it is in ACCDATA, then the que.dat file needs to be deleted. so thanks to you all.
Richard =============
Oh, you can actually delete it? Will remember that. I've always just edited it to nil but kept the file. Nice to know, thanks. =============
Well Sage always told me to delete in the past when I had an issue with this, and I have just done it again and everything seems to be back to normal. =============
